Can I wear a waistcoat?

OK here's the crack..I am planning showing my TB yearling at local level this summer and do not want to squeeze into my slightly tight for me jacket..I know slimming would be the best option! and wondered if I could just wear shirt tie and smart waistcoat? Don't want to buy new jacket again just planning losing baby wieght gradually.

Yes if in-hand at a small local show you should be fine in a smart shirt, tie and waistcoat, with a pair of smart trousers and sensible shoes
