Can I wear -can he wear - a girth sleeve in a dressage test?

Or is that a terrible faux pas? And, if it's 'natural' coloured sheepskin, is that even worse (equichav, I think the word was?)? It's only unaffiliated but I haven't done this for a while and am so old it was considered terribly bad to even do dressage in a numnah back in my day.

Well considering Charlotte & Valegro wore natural sheepskin girth covers at the Olympics I think you'll be fine

Can't see why you can't - Charlotte DuJardin had one in the Olympics, and I am sure I have seen them in affiliated comps. They don't affect the horses way of going, well not in the way a bit or noseband might.

That's ok, then - there'll be one on his back and one under his belly. Actually, there'll probably be two on his back - one being me.

You have to have dead sheep and bling to be a proper dressage rider
