Can Lungeing benefit a horse which overbends?

I am currently schooling an Anglo Arab mare who tends to overbend. I am working on this when riding her but I wondered if lungeing would help, and if yes what (if any) training aids could be used. I normally lunge my pony in side reins but feel this may not help her as it will be encouraging her to come rounder and softer when she is already overbending.

Anyone have any ideas? Also anyone have a ny good schooling exercises to do to help improve this?

Thanks

Yes she has been checked reguarly ... maybe I didn't think of that - may suggest to her owner trying a simple loose ring or an eggbutt snaffle bit instead of a hanging cheek.

It may be an idea to swop the bit back to basics, I would lunge her off a cavesson not off the bridle so that as kerilli said she will be able to find her own outline and balance.

Good luck
