Can pregnancy be missed by rectal ultrasound at 7 months?

Can a vet miss a foal when doing a rectal ultrasound at 7 months, they definitively said not pregnant and thought she was in season but I had wanted a blood test and they convinced me this was better, it's just I keep looking at her thinking it looks like something's going on, I just want to know 100%, if they thought she was in season from this ultrasound is that a certain answer? Would a blood test have given me more certainty?

Yes. They missed a friends, and then she went up one day in a horrible storm and there was the foal! I think hers was roughly the same time, 6 to 7 months.

Thank you, this was my worry, if I don't consider it an option anything could happen, will definitely keep an eye on things then just in case
