can saddlers adjust bridles?

Can anyone help, I bought a bridle online in the sale, its slightly to large for the pony, its on top hole of everything and although is now usable its a little tatty looking. But is such a nice bridle wanted to use it for the ring. Do you know if saddlers can adjust?
