Hello to all, newbie here!

I'm hoping someone can help.....

My fiance has been riding for 10 years and she needs a new hat so im going to surprise her with one for christmas.... I know here size and have a choice of 2 hats in my price range....

She does schooling work and hacking.

The 2 choices are:

Charles Owen J3 Skull Hat

Charles Owen Adventura Skull

Good good.. her current hat is a 1.5 but has started to slip down when wearing slightly.... it is 10 years of age though lol so i'm thinking the padding has worn a bit thin over the many years!

So going to get another 1.5 and pray it fits! and not lose the receipt!
 
Dont mean to put a downer on things but different hats come up in different sizes. I have 3 hats and they are all different sizes and different makes.

I know you want it to be a suprise but she would be better to try them on.
 
^^ bugger!!! will have to get her to try one on without telling her im getting her one.... could be interesting!!!
 
I love my J3! It's totally different to my old Champion though, completely different fit. J3s tend to be a bit small anyway. I found it uncomfortable at first because it was so small, but like anything good I just had to 'break it in' and now it's SO comfy and lovely!
 
Thanks for the replies people! Her current hat is a champion 1.5 and I have found a shop that offers a 30 day exchange so going to get the J3 in 1.5 and surprise her, and if it does not fit... we can go exchange it.
 
What a lovely present for her. I think your last idea is the best becuase then it will be a complete suprise and you can easily change the size.

Failing that you could just get a picture of one and put it in an envelope to give to her on xmas day, then you can go to the shop together after xmas and buy one.
 
when I bought my hat, the shop owner made me wear it around the shop for 15 minutes,and I am so glad I did!!! as my head got warmer the hat got tighter, and I started to get the pressure pain, that I used to get while out hacking in the warm weather with my old hat. I went slightly bigger with my new hat and have never had that problem. Prob a bit of useless info, but it worked for me.
Nice pressie idea by the way.!!
