Just bought a new pony, can someone explain what I have to do with the passport. At the moment it is in an Irish Conemarra passport and I have the form to change to British Conemmara passport. Is it a simple process. Do I need to involve the previous owner?

Fill in the form, send copy of receipt for payment and that should be enough, making sure the receipt has their address on it.

Just out of interest why do you need to change it to a British one? I have a connie and he has a green irish connemara passport...when I bought him I had to get previous owner to sign a form, then I sent form and passport together back to society, they returned it with their stamp on accepting me as new owner.

I think the BCPS expect signatures from all previous owners, though with a gelding they will accept signed documentation from just the last owner in Ireland before the pony came to the UK.
