If anyone has some time to kill could you have a search for some knee boots, pref leather for a TB. I'm hopeless at on line shopping but I know some of you guys are fab at it. Didnt really want to spend 80 quid on the Jefferies ones but not sure what options are out there and whether there are any on sale at the mo. Cheers!

Hm. I think with knee boots y'gets what y'pays for hun

I bought some for Lttle Cob, but the slip down and if I tighten them up they threaten t cut off the leg from the knee down

*wobbles off to look at the Jeffries ones*

I was wondering about the Westropp combined ones, noticed that they do a plain knee boot as well, has anyone used those? MrsM, dont forget to get that TV back on Channel 4 in a few mins

westropp plain knee ones are excellent, much better than leathers we have had as easy to do up with gloves on.

One of our pairs is 6 years old, the top strap has been replaced with a dogs collar though

They dont slip as long as the top strap is tight enough including canterin and they are nice and soft so dont rub.

Ester, thank you. How do they come up size wise. Che normally wears full size boots, he is full TB, not really weedy but not huge at 15.3 would you think full size/large would be ok?

I've opted for the 2 in 1 boots as I was always having to re-adjust normal knee boots if went for a canter. One of mine is a full TB and the other a chunky irish cross - suits them both, altho did get the cob size for the TB. Its much easier as they've not fallen or slipped once and they've been used a number of times a week since August

i,ve just bought some combined ones for my 4 year old. stay up really well and don't slip around. never had a slip when he's had them on so can't say i've tested them in a fall. some people have said that the top folds down thus leaving the knee unprotected but i can only imagine that happens if you are going some speed, so alright for me at the mo as my boy is just starting out so only going steady. i got mine off of ebay for 20 pounds, there is a website selling them about 22 pound at the mo if you google westropp knee boots. also my lad is a 15.2 arab x appaloosa and the cob size still come up large on him.
