so...

i am going to try raff in a myler mb03, with full cheek and copper roller...

is this still classed as a 'comfort snaffle'?
is it dressage legal?
what purpose does the copper roller serve?

does anyone else have one? if so, why did you choose that particular one?

i've chosen it because... he's always been in full cheeked bits, he needs tongue relief, he isn't keen on nutcracker effect, he isn't particularly keen on 'normal' metal bits, and prefers ones with copper... oh, and he is not happy with his current bit...

do these sound like sound reasons for trying this bit?

hiya hun! umm, i'll try, haven't used this one though, but looking at it...
looks like the same mouthpiece as Comfort Snaffle other than copper roller.
prob not dr legal as different type of metal on roller, which wasn't allowed before, i wouldn't swear to it though!
the copper roller will give his tongue something to play with, taste nicer, etc.
the mylers have thin copper strips inlaid into the inside corners of the mouthpiece anyway...
hope he loves it!
 
The full cheeks with the MB03 have 'hooks', where you attach the reins, this makes this bit illegal for dressage.
If you don't need the bit to be dressage legal, but you want full cheeks and some tongue relief (the MB03 wont give your horse tongue relief) then I'd try the MB04, comfort snaffle low port with full cheeks.
