This morning Mum took one of Beauty's (pony) pergolide tablets by mistake and is now feeling fairly horrendous! I spoke to her on the phone this morning and could tell she was sick just from her voice

Hopefully she is tucked up in bed now, and I am going to go home from uni in a bit (term finishes today, I'm not skiving, honest), to do horses and dogs.

Just thought I would ask for some vibes to pass on to her, and I will give her my laptop tonight so she can come on here to keep her occupied while she's poorly.

Oh MurphysMinder! They are called horsepills for a reason you know!

Hugs and vibes - I hope you feel better soon (((())))

Poor MM!

I hope she feels better soon - as a dompaminergic drug pergolide may make her feel nauseous and possibly even sleepy. The good news is that it should be metabolised and out of her system within 24 hours. Just keep drinking lots of fluids (water preferably) and take it easy - preferably sleep it off. She should be back to normal tomorrow.

Big hugs and better labels!!

No, I think she just has to put up with feeling like crap for a day. Apparently she is feeling better now than she did this morning, but that still pretty much equates to feeling like s***.

O no! VIBES!!!!!
at least pergolide is actually a human drug given to horses, so she hasnt taken a "horse" drug!! but ye she prob feels like she just came out the back end of beauty!

hope she feels better!

Oh dear, lots of [[[[[[Vibes]]]]]] from me to MurphysMinder!

I hope she doesn't end up like this with your laptop

without that she feels a little better so that she can have some fun with it this evening.

I don't want to sound uncompassionate but what happened to poor Beauty then, did she get your mothers pill?

Anyway my late grandmother was a firm believer in that the worse it tasted to take a medication, the better effectiveness it had. So a medication that makes MurphysMinder feel this bad today, will hopefully make her feel like Superwoman tomorrow?

Well I'm still alive but can't bebothered to log on as myself. Thanks for drawing attention to the fact I have done this before

Whoever said slightly nauseous has to be joking, without out going into too much detail I didn't leave the loo all morning, and as for drinking fluids , not a chance, the tiniest sip came straight back. Apparently when humans start on pergolide they do it very gradually, just a very low dose, not throw done a 1mg at the first attempt!
I'd only brought the damn things in from the cupboard in the feedroom because the frost was causing the blister packs to split. On the bright side I hopefully won't be at risk of laminitis in the near future.

Goodness me!

I've only just seen this thread, and am most glad to hear that you are ok. I do hope that you are being well looked after, and resting lots!
