Thanks skinnydipper. Really interesting reading. The % of injuries stabled v turn out seems quite significant, but then I also see that 34% of those stabled have had their routine changed and are not normally stabled. I wander how many of those stabled injuries are in that 34% group. It has got me thinking, as mine are out at night all year round and I don't bring them in during fireworks. I think if I were to bring them in out of their routine, they'd already be thinking something isn't right and be on high alert.

I think the only thing might revulse the public from fireworks now is some ghastly accident, like a manufacturer’s or retailer’s premises blowing up and causing absolute carnage in a populated area.
