Can we uploads pictures when posting a thread on Horse and Hound ?

Ive got a question to ask but i need to upload pictures along with it to explain. Is there a way to upload a picture onto the thread or add an album on here people can look at or refer too ? i remember you could back in the day but ive not used this forum for over 15 years and a lot has changed now !

Yes it’s easier now as there is an attachment option but you might not be able to until you’ve a few posts if you can’t see it atm.
However the file size limit is small so sometimes it’s still easier to upload to say Facebook and use image tags either side

The only buttons i can see a button that look as if i could use for attatchment images it says " insert Image " - however this asks me for a http: link ? another one says media but also asks for links to things like facebook ! :) ! sorry im a bit of a dinosaur are these type of things now.

Thank you I’ve realised it’s because im new as I had to make a new account as I couldn’t remember my old one ! Thank you for taking the time to reply !

I don’t have this option yet when I click that button but I’m sure as soon as HH detects I’m not a bot or sales person it will allow me the function ! I thought at first it was user error but I’ve realise I just didn’t have permission yet 🙂

Also check it's not greyed out.

I'm mine if I click the ellipsis/three dots on the right I get a sub menu. The [ ] brackets make the attach and insert pictures button activate or grey out in mine

I use an app called Compress to compress my photos so they are ‘small’ enough to post. I think that there is a way to do it directly on here but I have forgotten what it is.
 
I use the button 'Attach files' down left. I've also found that by sending the photos to myself (or someone else) on Messenger and downloading them from there makes them drastically smaller, without changing anything visibly. So that's another tip.
