Can you bombproof a divvy TB?

Tounge in cheek question, but is it really in their nature?

My grl spooked at a bus that came out of nowhere - literally, today. She flew into the air and crumpled onto the ground, scraping both knees and the front of her hooves in the process - I felt so sorry for her. She's already on a calmer, but it's to the point where I'm beginning to dread hacking out alone.

I think you can! Zoom is tb but she is really good about most things. She is a silly moo but bombproof as they come.

I always reckoned it is because of her polo days. By the age of 4 she had been flown half way across the world and been exposed to alot of different environments.

Having said that, Monty spooked at a twig the day he was PTS at 29 so i guess some of them never learn! Sorry, not a helpful answer!

I think you can make them less spooky but any horse regardless of breeding, if they have that spooky streak, it'll always be there. You might be able to modify how they react to the horse eating monsters but they'll always react in some way.

It is down to the individual temprement of the horse. Some will be bombproof/spookproof from birth and others will have issues. Those that do not have the laid back temprement will I am afraid always have issues.
If you want a horse that is going to be laid back on the roads then you need to test drive the horse prior to purchasing it to ensure that it can cope with that environment.
I have ridden out in Central London weekday traffic with two Grand National winning horses and both of them where 100% in traffic so a thoroughbred can have the temprement to deal with hacking out in traffic.
