I am looking at getting a new saddle and one of the girth straps has snapped just below half way.

Should I cut all the straps so that I can use a normal girth or have it fixed to that I could use a dressage girth? Also how much do you reckon it would cost to fix?

I must admit to cutting a customers dressage saddle girth straps down and punching new holes last week, but she wanted to use it as a working hunter saddle instead. as for pricing, to give you an idea on cost I usually charge about £7 each to replace a dressage girth strap.
