Can you delete threads?

Can you delete threads/posts or accounts? Not other people obviously, but your own???

You can delete the content of a thread you started and it will show as "post deleted by ..." But I don't think you can delete a whole thread with any accompanying replies. If you want to close your account, most people simply stop using the Forum. Admin can help so maybe drop them a line?
