Probably the dumbest question of the year but my cos and red lettuces are all ready at once and I would rather feed them to neddy than compost (there is only me to eat it).

Please only answer if you actually know.

Maybe HHO will publish me top of the top 10 stupid questions ?

i was once told be a vet you can't feed lettice to horses as they can easily choke on it . not sure if there is any truth in it but i have never fed it to mine just in case

Apparently if you eat about 6,000 of them, they help you sleep

There are sources that say you should never feed any horse any greens (other than grass) however, I am one of those that have fed all these things all my life and never seen a horse suffer for it, and yes, they all like them all, including the lettuce. I cannot see how a horse can choke on lettuce more than they can on something like grass.
