CAN YOU GET A HORSE VALUED?

Is there anyone who can value a horse, especially to see what its worth as a broodmare?

I think too many pick prices for there horses out of thin air! I know my mare has good bloodlines but hasn't done a huge amount herself, jumps 1m 20 happily. Previous owners said she would be worth 'something' as a broodmare.....any ideas?

That is her bloodlines......anyone know what she's be worth as a broodmare? or where could i take her to be valued?

I know that Tattersalls value bloodstock. I'd maybe try them and see if they can offer any advice. Otherwise Brightwells might or any of the Sports Horse Auction Houses. Worth a phone call! Or I am sure as breeding stock you can get her assessed under the Furturity Scheme and that will again add value to her if she's rated highly. Maybe during the assessment you can ask for an opinion on value? Good equine vets are another worth a shout as they see a lot of horses for sale and will know the market.

What do you need her valued for? It makes a difference as to who you should approach and how you should approach them.

Abbattoir could give you meat value prices, but above that is much more difficult. If you are finding out just so that you can pitch an advert correctly then look at other adverts and ask for opinions, if you need a valuation for insurance or legal reasons give us a bit more information so that we can help.
