hi all,

sorry - second post today!

just wondered what your opinions are on supplements. I give mine garlic and she is about to be started on a probiotic over the winter and i have been recommended by the vet to give her a joint supplment, do you think this is too much? she doesnt get much feed- just a smallish scoop of hard feed

I wouldn't have thought it was too much, they all do different things. The only thing to watch out for is doubling up on vits and minerals but with the supplements you mention I doubt v much there would be a prob.

Mine has a scoop in each feed of Pink Powder and one scoop in evening feed of Suppleze Gold along with her No 4 cubes and Alfa A oil and ground linseed.

choose a good supplement like PP and you should be fine.

You can over-supplement but as Kerilli says it is more when the supplements overlap, the ones you mention sounds fine together. I belive that the main mineral (is it a mineral?!) that can be overdone with too many supplements is Selenium which can have some side effects such as very itchy skin at high levels but that would only occur if you were supplementing with too many vit and min based supplements.
