Hopefully someone can remember this boot? Or even have it?

unfortunately I can't remember the name of who made them! And I haven't seen them around for the past year....But I think they looked like this description?
they were a sporty model of boot, not your average leather boot
suitable for riding or yard work
decent rubber sole with heel
made in leather and synthetic material
either a grey or black colour...... Or sort of I between? And I think came in navy blue to?
Possibly had red piping up the back of the boot and red rubber?on the heel
I think the zip zipped up from the outside of the foot and up around the leg....
quite expensive about £200
Suitable for competition, but more show jumping rather than dressage!
they looked a bit futuristic and out there...... The traditionalist would hate them!

Large (1ft) chocolate Santa on offer!

These are the only ones I can think of with red piping? http://www.ariat.com/Ariat/VolantTall.html?color=BLACK

I thought of those, as well as Tretorn boots??

Dublin had an 'interesting' boot out not long ago....

Oh no these boots/chaps must have been about 2/3 years ago.....and I don't think they went down to well! Just a bit too odd for the majority of people!

However the ariat and tretorns are along the right lines.......just want to find a chap like that!

Tretorn also did a short boot and chap IIRC. Ariat have the Volant XT chap, which is a little more conservative than the Tretorn..

Was it a smaller brand, or on of the more well known, or can you not remember??

It was quite a 'high class' (aka as an expensive) brand! Perhaps not very well known...... I remember seeing them in equi togs in West Sussex? But they are no longer on the website :( so assume they no longer sell them

I'll have a look for tretorn chaps!

Sounds very much like Ariat Volant to me - the boots are as you describe, and they also make chaps and short boots in the same range/style.
