Can you hog using trimmers?

of course you can, just the same as I am sure you could cut hair with a pair of nail scissors ;) honestly, I used mine for trimming off some feather and it didn't take too long to ruin them. The mane is so much coarser and will ruin your trimmers in a heartbeat, it will ruin and blunt the blades and put too much strain on the actual trimmers, they just aren't man enough to do the job.
 
A friend of mine used to buy the human hair clippers in the local cheapie shop, cost about a tenner. The used to do a pretty good job on her boy's mane!
 
i use liverman element trimmers to hog, do feathers and do full clips! i love them, i do get through 2 blades though to do all of the above on my cob! xx
