Can you ride a horse out in a Chambon?

I don't see why not, but normally IME it would be a de gogue that people would ride a horse out in rather than a chambon.

Tanks for that, I'll be looking at a De Gogue then. Someone said that a Market Harborough works well too any experiences of that?

I used to work with a German trainer who worked the young horses in Chambons a lot in the school there's no way I would hack out in one ( or a de gogue for that matter) poll pressure is potentially very damageing to horses if you wanted to ride out in something that exerted poll pressure I would use a bungee rien ,which has much milder action .
As Martlin I am curious about what you what to achieve ?
