Can you tell if my mare has had a foal by her teats?

I bought my mare age rising 4, she is now rising 6. I bought her directly from the breeder and she was freshly brought back into work having been started the year before and turned away for a year. There was no mention of my mare having bred a foal. But a breeder friend of mine saw her teats and insists she's had a foal. I must admit, her teats look that was to me too. She would have been 2-3 years old if she did. But I wonder why the seller wouldnt have mentioned it. Or could we have got it wrong? Can we really tell just by looking at the teats? Yes, I have messaged the breeder and waiting for a reply.
Can teats look like this without having foaled?
I have added a link with pictures here.

Looks totally normal for a mare that hasn't had a foal to me and I used to breed so do have plenty of practical experience. Some of my year old sheep which have not lambed have little bags. I will be very surprised if it turns out she has had a foal.
