Moves like a hackney behind...

Its in an ad of a horse I'm interested in and haven't a clue what it means...

Thanks in advance

Extremely high and active stepping. I'd actually be a bit worried if a horse moved like that behind and wasn't a hackney, to be honest - could be indicative of pain.

Very pronounced high hock action.?

Ummmm don't know why, but I would be wary! Possibly because of pain/back related issues

Very high and active stepping. Probably a positive, if the front legs match the back

I wouldn't be worried about it being in an advert for a hackneyX, welsh type or Gelderlander type...

Quite a lot of horses will move this way with the right sort of conformation. Morgans, Hackneys, Welsh Cobs, American Saddlebreds etc... with the right hip will often be very engaged and drive from behind. The interesting bit is whether or not the front end matches?
