I know its not a very good idea to turn out a horse during a frost but is it okay to turnout after the frost has lifted - like straight after?
-thanks :)

You can but be aware its not the frost but the sugars in the grass that are left after the frost has gone, short periods only. See the laminitis site for more info

For a laminitis horse no not for a while. Another horse yes we do turn out on frosty mornings.

That's my view , managing horses is about managing risk and different things represent different risks to different horses .
I always make sure they eat a fibre high meal before they go out chopped straw speedibeet and a few oats usually .
