Can you use purple spray/wound powder....

Meant for horses on cats??

Anyone tried it?? My SIL's cat has got into a bit of a scrap and we are wondering if that might help it heal a bit better.

We've used wound powder on the dog!!

Id give it a go, the cat may well lick it off, but it will try and lick anything off you put on.

I would google the product and it's main ingredients, cats are more sensitive to these things than either horses or dogs.

I've used them both on me with no ill effects!

i think i would get something specific for cat's though as they would def lick it off.

NO! i wouldnt do it! cats arent horses! purple spray is prob safer than wound powder but even so i wouldnt do it.

Salt water bathe the cuts and leave them alone.

if they get worse take the cat to the vet.

i work at a vet and this is what we tell people on the phone...
