I am a British ex-pat living in the USA who has just rediscovered a long-dormant desire for canary breeches! Of course, they are not available here

so I am going to ask my parents (in the UK) to get me some for Xmas!

But what kind? I'd like some that are:

a) Good quality - not see through, and will last, but not *too* expensive.
b) Not bright yellow - more creamy perhaps, but not beige or tan.
c) Full seats ideally, but knee patch is fine too.
d) Not too high waisted - I have a short torso and having breeches that come up to my armpits is, um, unattractive!
e) Not too heavy weight - it's hot here in California a lot of the time.

The ones I've seen online look OK, but I can't tell about the quality - Dublin Kew, Gorringe 400, or Pro Seat 1500. Any other options?

Thanks all

I use the French SportsWear ones which are about £30-£40. They are a little bit see through but comfortably low waisted. I love the Pikeur ones, but I just can't wear anything that high. This pic is not as weird as it looks as I was trying to take apic of my new "made to measure" boots which I think are far too short in the leg! However, the breeches are the ones I mentioned above!

These are also very popular among the "canary" fraternity!

I also have a pair of these which are very comfortable

These aren't very glamourous!

This lot aren't really into canary which is only used for showing over here - the title is probably putting them off. If you put another post asking for opinions without putting the colour, you will probably get more of a response!

I've got some from robinsons, they are pretty good and were something like £20, Pretty hard wearing and well enough made, I only ever use them a coupl of times a year so didn't see the point in spending a lot!
