Hello..

Does anyone here do CaniCross? :) I would love to start with my labrador who just loves to run run run and run a bit more.. He also likes to pull :p He is in a halti and respects that - trots by your side but put him in an anti-pull harness or general collar and he is a pain the bum! (I do not want any comments about bad training etc etc) so I imagine Canicross would be quite good for him.. get rid of all the energy, socialise him with other dogs and I can be a bit more socialised too! :D Only thing putting me off is the cost of everything.. :(

Anyway, many thanks if anyway has any advice/tips on how to get started. :)

I have a empire rock harness for me

And the line I got from indi dog and she made my first belt as well however it hurt as I upped the mileage and speed and he pulled harder!! But good starting belt.

Hope that helps.

Hi, thank you so much! :) I am in Gloucestershire but seems to be no Gloucestershire Canicross groups? Obviously I need to get fitter myself after being off with a broken leg in summer for 3 months and only just started running again you can imagine I am soo unfit! Thanks for links, will check them out now.

I was running with the midlands canicross club with Tia. We're going on social walks this year but Fizz isn't able to run until March so not doing masses this year.

I don't know about other clubs but ours have kit you can borrow until you can commit to buying your own.

You want him to pull (makes your life easier) but a 'normal' fleece harness for him will be ok to start with.
