Tomorrow at Raveningham near Beccles. Lurchers, Terriers, Gundog Scurries, Racing and Coursing courses. It's all in aid of that wonderful charity "Keeping Abreast", a most worthwhile group of people.

It should be a good day, and the Post Code is NR34 0HB.

Is anyone going?

Alec.

An excellent day. The weather was perfect, some of those racing couldn't catch a cold, I was rather surprised to see 8-9 year old dogs in with those which were 2. There was a whippet racing which quite clearly had a malfunction between its front and backend, to the point where I thought that it had broken down, only to later find that it 'Always does that'!

There were some excellent dogs in the show rings, two or three which were spectacular, most were acceptable and one I'm certain, was an Otterhound! I make the point that I never judge the Judge, though I will say that her idea of the ideal, wasn't mine, but then I wasn't 'Judging'!

All credit to the lovely Tracey Beauchamp, for her support of 'Keep A-breast' (such a powerful name for such a charity!). I feel certain that the event will be repeated next year, and I would hope that there will be those from here, who are local enough, who will lend their support.

Wish it had been nearer, I am really keen to stick Bear in a scurry. We went to the big CLA game fair in Oxford last month, sheer heaven as the friend I went with is as obsessed as me with her springers! I would love to do another similar one. Shame next year's is in Leeds :(

You should have a go. So often we worry about making a hash of things, but there will ALWAYS be someone who's worse, and probably me, I always mess up the scurries!
