Axel has the top canines coming through at the moment, he's 7. The left one is about halfway down and the right one is just under the skin.
Is it possible that this is causing him to lean on the right rein?
The dentist is coming on monday but I doubt if he can do anything about them, I'll just have to wait until they have come through?
Would putting teething gel or bonjela on them help?

they should have erupted by now but some horses get a bit delayed!
EDT wont be able to do anything as the only thing you can do is to get the vet to open up the gingiva to allow the blind canine to erupt through. Best just wait and see!
Shouldnt cause the horse to lean unless the bit is very low and comes into contact with that area.

My EDT came today and discovered that poor Axey had very sharp teeth and the blind canine was very sore, he was going to leave it but then decided to cut the gum away so the tooth was exposed. Axel was very good about having this done and dentist said that it will feel much better for him and he should be much happier in his mouth.
I'm very pleased that my instincts were right, and hopefully Axey will return to his normal cooperative self!
