Just thought you all may like to know that Waitrose are currently selling canned pumpkin. It is along with the Halloween stuff. Unfortunately they will only have it until 31st October so I will be stocking up

Lol. I want it all year round as it makes fab titbits that the dogs love.
By the way the cans do have a long expiry date.

Ah, I make pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving :)

So what doggy tidbit recipe is there then? Never thought of making htem something with pumpkin....

Buying and cooking your own pumpkin is really easy as well and probably far healthier for dogs than the canned variety. Scoop out the insides, peel, chop into 1 inch squares, wrap in foil and bake in the oven until ready.

I love cooking butternut squash as well, has to have a cream, ham and gruyere cheese filling. Lovely and warming on a cold winter night.

My tit bits are made with 1 can of pumpkin, 1 egg, 6 heaped dessert spoons of gluten free plain flour. Mix well together. Spread evenly in a small size roasting tin and bake for 40mins on gas mark 4/5. Turn out into a cooling tray then cut into small pieces once cool.
Treats can be frozen or put in fridge to keep. they don't last long if not kept cool but dogs love them as they taste sweet and are low fat too

I hope you don't individually wrap each one inch square!!?
