Cannot understand why my cob is not selling...!

I have been looking for a happy hack cob as my old lad has bone spavin but I have phoned up for a few and nobody gets back to me :(

Overpriced, underpriced, not as described, pants photo, no photo, photo makes horse look like donkey.

No phone number, incorrect phone number, no email, incorrect email. Not listed area of country.

Poor spelling, poor grammar.

Missing details (height, age, colour, sex), irrelevant details (favourite band, most hated smell etc..)

Any of these reasons?!

So many horses are overpriced atm. I sold my amazing, perfect, precious hack/hunter (*sob* :() for only £1,000. He did have mild arthritis, and was 16, and unfortunately the down sides count for far more than the plus sides when pricing.

id say possibley your advert, i had a tradtional cob, that although was county standard in terms of the show ring, he was 100% in every way, he sold to a older couple that just wanted a safe confidence giving hack.. he wasnt cheap either!

I advertised on ad horse and had a really good responce.

Have you got a link to the ad?

It took 6 months for mine to sell and he sold a week after I had taken all adverts down!

Buyers are out there, if someone bought my pig of a riggy two year old year old someone will buy yours, just takes a while.

We have just sold a coloured cob - phone did not stop ringing. It was nice looking and competitively priced. It sold to first person to view.

What is competitively priced though?

Traditional cob types seem to range from £500 to £5000.

I ask because I may have one to sell myself.

I am looking for a nice sensible type to ride ride with my daughter who is still on the lead, and hassle free alone time hacks.

But don't want to pay the earth, so what do you say is a competitive price folks :)

I have just sold a 15hh cob.He was 5 years old, hunted and hacked by a child. He was advertised for a long time, and in the end i sold him for a thousand pounds

mine sold for just under 4k. as a safe for anyone but forward going ride, well schooled jumped, he wasnt without his hang ups, he needed sedation for clipping, and could be a sod to load..

sold in a few weeks, viewings got held up as he pulled a shoe off, all the enquires i had were from people at least 2 hours away aswell .

hes the pony in my avatar thingy.

I advertised my cob half heartedly as my hubby said I had too many horses. I really didn't want anyone to come and buy him but we had several phone calls and three people came to try him. Two viewings weren't successful as the horse was too big and then a complete novice was a little nervous of him. The third viewing, a couple, went really well and much to my dismay they loved him and bought him. They let me know how he is doing which I am really grateful for.

I have been looking for a while and like I mentioned I leave messages but no one gets back to me and then when they do it's too late, they've sold the horse

all I want is a nice cob to tootle around on.. Where are they?
