After many months of problems with my horse I took him to a show today and did a ridden hunter class......we came 2nd!!!! The judge said he was the horse with the best confirmation by far, but as he hadn't gone on the bit and was a bit disengaged she thought the horse she placed 1st deserved it - to be honest I did too!
I bought him last Nov, couldn't do much with him because of the weather then he developed back problems and I turned him away. I then moved to Wales and he seemed worse not better. I got to the point where I even posted on here about whether I should sell him or not. I had a back person out to him which seems to have seriously done the job and he's been sound for about 16 weeks now.
I am so pleased with him - we literally only started cantering with right leg lead yesterday - he'd previously shot sidewards and wouldn't go forward. He went round the ring on the correct lead when asked.
Jaffa cakes to all!!! (well the crumbs left in the bottom of the packet LOL)
