Had a phonecall regarding one of the leftover puppies yesterday and had to put this up just out of sheer comedy value..
Ring ring...
Me: Hello
caller: Hi my names J*** im enquiring about the 8 week old puppies you have for sale. Are they still available
m: yep, but they are 9 weeks old now, the two boys are still here, what would you like to know?
J: well, um, what colour are they? what do they look like?
M: do you know the jack russell/patterdale breeds well?
J; my nans got a jack russell, so yeah black and white and small...
M: well no, not really, um, if you do a bit of research on the patterdale breed, google some images, and one is tan and smooth coated, with a scopey face and one is black and wiry with the typical conformation. both are good weights and are turning out to be good little dogs but i do really want them going to a good knowledgeable home preferably where they can work...

J: work? are they fully trained then???
ME: (giggles) Um no, they are 9 weeks old... um anyway you are welcome to come and have a look by all means, and do a bit of research into the breed, but im not sure you are the right home for them...
J: oh ok ... ... would you mind sending me some pictures?
Me: um, like i said you can come and look if you want...
J: its just its a late xmas present for my little boy, he's four bless him, and i want him to choose his puppy..
Me: um, i dont think these dogs would make good presents for a four year old.. sorry.
J;okay, thanks anyway, bye... oh before i go, you couldnt reccomend a dog that would be good for him, ive never had one see..
M. maybe do some research, age fours quite early to get a dog if you yourself dont really know much about dogs, maybe wait a bit. thanks bye.
Oh i just didnt know what the hell to say, she was really persistant. i wasnt rude though was i? Dont think she should be thinking about a dog just yet but judging from the other thread shell probs be on her way to dogs4us or whatever its called !
