Some of you may remember this article a few years ago about an artist called Guillermo Vargas using a very sick street dog as art in an art exhibition.
The poor thing was left tied up with no food and water untill it eventually died a painfull agonising death.
Well guess what apparantly its likely it will happen again, what the hell is wrong with people.
Please help to stop this and sign the petition, its just awful :-(

If you do a bit of Googling you'll find that the original story appears to be untrue. There was a stray dog in the exhibition, but probably only for 3 hours. There's no evidence that it was there for longer or starved to death.

The artist claims he was highlighting the situation regarding the enormous number of starving strays and peoples' attitudes to them. He and the gallery have been reprimanded for exhibiting a dog at all, even if only for a couple of hours.

That's probably why you can't sign the petition. It's most likely to be a hoax as a lot of these internet stories are.

hope your right fiona.... remember this so clearly.... awful awful thing to happen. :(

I remember a lot of hysteria about it on fb a couple of years ago, but I looked it up then and found it was widely regarded to be a hoax. Certainly it appears the dog was believed to have not been in the gallery long and definitely didn't starve to death there.

Some sources say the photo of a thin dog tied up weren't even taken in that gallery!

The internet's full of this sort of stuff, I think it's always worth checking whether it appears to be true.
