I'm obviously being very thick(!), but I can't find the Sprenger site. Every search I do on the KK bits comes up as a retail outlet: I need the site that tells me what each bit is aimed at :)

Anyone know???

Hot choccies with all the trimmings for (sensible and useful :D) answers lol

Excellent, thank you :) :D

Still don't know which one to get though lol.

As soon as a contact is taken up, when rider first gets on, her head shoots upwards. She rubs her mouth/nose every chance she gets. She argues and leans most of the time on the bit :(. The only time she stopped was when we had a good sustained trot out on a hack yesterday. Today she was better, but not relaxed.

Ho hum.

The sprenger site is www.sprenger.de i am going to a sprenger seminar next week if you want me to ask a question please let me know.

Thank you :D

Yes please!

Six year old Dutch Warmblood mare.
Slightly batty, but not too bad considering age and breeding :)

Tried her in: pelham, snaffle, Happy Mouth three ring gag (on mild ring), hackamore (didn't like the pressure on her nose); currently in a Myler broad barrel.

Nosebands - tried: none, cavesson (goes reasonably well in), mexican grackle (which she hated), crank (done up loose).

Problem: as soon as the bit goes in she wants to rub her mouth/nostril. Always the right hand side. First touch on the bit and her head goes up, sharpe and high. Some resistance to downwards transitions. Some head shaking. Leaning on the bit until well worked in.

Not usually hard to stop, other than the head going up bit.

Dentist says her mouth is fine, no fat toungue or fleshy lips to contend with.

Now she's turning away from me in the stable as soon as she sees the bridle :(

I'm wondering if she doesn't like the metal :(
