I'm probably not allowed to mention the name on here, so I wouldn't dream of doing it, would I? All my pets are equal and I don't have a Best Pet, but someone clearly thinks I do!

I get spammed by these people several time a week with a page that only half displays. The pictures don't come up so I don't know what they are selling anyway. There is a link on the bottom of the page entitled "Unsubscribe", but that doesn't work on my computer. I suspect that is how it is meant to be.

I use MailWasher so it is possible to bounce spam back from whence it came, but even that becomes a bit tedious. I suppose I am going to have to spend some time and discover how to do that automatically on MailWasher.

But why do they do it? I have emailed them and simply been referred back to the "unsubscribe" link which I've already told them doesn't work. There is no way I would ever buy from people who do this. Anyone else have these problems or am I just becoming neurotic? It's an electronic version of those leaflets that come through the letter box every day and then go straight into the bin, unread. Unless of course I take the time to shove it all into their prepaid envelope and fire it back to them with some anatomically directional advice..... <sigh>

I read your title and thought it wasn't just burgers that have a problem:eek:

but yes get to grips with MailWasher. YOu could bounce ALL your spam mail back to them or even go their webiste / do some googling and find individual company email addys and bounce the company's own mail back to a number of high ups in the company:D

I am able to use a unique email addy for every company and can tell therefore tell who has sold my email address to a third party which is another pet hate of mine. The company then gets a very strong email from me as to my opinion of their conduct.

Wow! Someone definitely after my own line of thinking! What great ideas!

I did copy their email several times over and send it back to them but your ideas are brilliant! I've since discovered that, yes, some spammers intentionally have an "unsubscribe" link that doesn't work and isn't meant to!

I'd a girl working for me who used to work in telesales. She said they kept a list of those numbers who answered rudely or aggressively and they'd call in a spare moment just to wind them up! I think that is worth knowing. I used to just take the phone off the hook and give them the silent treatment, but now I have TrueCall and all is peace!
