When I get on my lad and have to get off a few mins later because he doesn't feel right at all. Got someone to trot him up and he's lame on his near hind :( I'll keep him in tomorrow and see if that makes him better or worse and take it from there. Sick with worry and I'll be worried about him all day tomorrow. Hate being such a pessimist and always jumping to the worst possible conclusions!! Fingers crossed a duvet day does the trick and he's back to normal soon. A few weeks ago my mare must have been messing about in the field and came in lame, 3 days box rest and gentle hand walking and she's back to her usual self. Keep telling myself he'll have probably done the same but it doesn't stop me worrying nonetheless :(

Abscess? There are alot about at the moment.

I really hope so Slave2Magic! Couldn't feel any heat in his feet but will have another check tonight.

I find the only way not to worry is to get the vet…...

I always wait a few days to see if it resolves itself. See my OP about my mare, would have been pointless calling the vet then because she was fine after a few days.
