We have been trying to sell our lorry without success for the best part of 6 months now. It has got to the point where we just want rid of it now. Does anyone know of any dealers in the Essex area who might take it off our hands?

I am trying to sell mine to and not having much luck, seem to be gitting loads of timewasters

i have even got it up for quiet a bit less than my mechanical (oh and the guy who built it) says it is worth, so why wont it sell?

What type of lorries are they?
Could be the credit crunch/price of diesel that's putting buyers off - I think if you're advertising them on internet websites you really have to keep the viewer informed of it's availability - ie - it's still for sale/sold - Whenever I look I expect that the horsebox/horse etc has already been sold so don't ring.

I had mine for sale for just over £5000 and reduced it by £500 and was inundated with calls, we sold it to first people to ring after reduction and had to call 4 other people to say it had sold. I think it's just getting the right price.

Mine is admittedly old (a reg) but very mechanically sound (mechanic who has serviced it last 6/7 years for me thinks its fab!) I have already taken over £1k off price and would prob take another 500 off that as now sitting SORN as I can't really afford to have 2 lorries taxed (already got new one!). Its not expensive by any stretch but no one seems to be buying at all and those that are, seem to be expecting something brand spanking new even though price tag is under 4k!!

My D reg cargo went for £2900 with full MOT & new cab in March dropped from £6000.

Then my beautiful Daf lorry with luxury living on a P sold this month for £13400 having been for sale since Dec, originally at £20995!!!!

Lorries are dropping in value by roughly £500 a month so if you don't wanna be stuck with them you're gonna have to cut you're losses as I have.

Happy now tho, as just secured a 2nd hand 2yr old equitrek

Over 100 miles away but as they're like rockin horse poo I was happy to travel.

I may also be in the market for a lorry as VOSA seem intent on getting my 30 year old girl off the road this year. Shame really as the last time she went through her test they commented that she was more sound than most lorries half her age
