Evening everyone

I was wondering if anyone has been on the canter for a cure ride at MK EC?

It is a cause that is very close to my heart and I would like to take my boy (and hopefully my friend will come with me) but it would be our first time at a proper big sponsored ride and I am a bit nervous at the thought so would like to know what to expect!

Is it well run and are people polite and respectful when passing etc?

I have been to an event at MK and found it a really friendly, relaxed venue so am hoping the ride will be similar?

Thanks in advance :)

we went last year and will be going again this year :)

We found most people to be considerate especially when friends horse had a bit of a meltdown. had a prob with 2 young girls galloping past on a narrowish track but we spoke to organizers who promised to have a word. I think the excitement just went to their heads a bit though

Thanks jennywren that sounds promising I am pretty sure Max will be fine if he has his girlfriend with him :)

Are there many gates on the course and if so are there people to open them? Neither of our horses are particularly good at gates (max is hopeless) so might be something we need to practice for!

That sounds perfect! Thank you both hearing such good reviews from people who go back is very good news :)

I have just emailed my friend who is on hols but hopefully she'll be up for it and we might see you there!
