canter help

joey seems to have a problem getting the correct lead on the right rein, my instructor says its because his hind is weaker that side, she has given me a couple of excercises to practice but i have my first dressage test since my bad fall on the 30th and i want it to go as smoothly as poss!!

Make sure you have a good contact on your outside (left rein) as you ask for the canter, and adopt a light seat for the first stride or so to allow the hindleg to come underneath him!

Yep what Mat said but think outside rein to the extent where you're almost wanting outside bend - a common mistake is asking for inside bend while asking for canter but actually take a stronger hold on your outside rein to allow the inside leg to strike off.
