Does anyone have any suggestions to reduce the appearance of a slightly capped hock? Used DMSO at the time but she has bumped it again-in field!-and now trying cold hosing. Any thoughts?

you could try one of these http://www.pressage.net/pressage.html - cold hose the hock and apply bandage, it will apply gentle pressure to the swelling and hopefully reduce it. You will need to take it off for a couple of hours each day and cold hose again before re applying it. I had a good result from its use on my mare some years ago and as it's such a good fit I could turn out with it on too.
