I have been speaking to someone on another forum who mentioned Callis capped hock. Not a clue how she has done it. Never found any marks, she isn't lame at all, no bald bits and no cuts and she has a deep straw bed. Anyway the cap is soft and squishy and you can move it about with your hands and she doesn't even flinch so isn't bothering her. The other person said showing yards use Hemarroid cream. Does anyone have any experience of this. Good or bad and how long does it take to work? Have a show next Sunday!!!

Best thing I ever used was goose fat. It is brilliant stuff but beware it will remove all the localised hair whilst in use as it gives off a tremendous amount of heat. Really effective though.

Ive got an oldie with one and Ive no idea how he got it. His bed has always been thick, hes never had holey hocks but has been known to practice sliding stop while out in the field so I presume its a consequence from that. Its never bothered him and if he wasnt retired I would try the goose grease idea! You never stop learning
