My accident prone horse has managed to cap his hock. He has a massive graze on his rump as well so I assume he may have got cast and banged it. Vet has checked and happy with it at moment. Not lame. Am cold hosing twice a day, anything other suggestions? Thanks

I plastered it with haemoroid cream...was mortified when I bought 2 tubes and was then asked if it was for me...and I had to say yes!

I would be icing it rather than cold hosing - use a tubigrip, doubled up, then put the crushed ice inbetween the two layers.
