Anyone know what his foals/stock are like in temperament and how successfull they have been. Looking at possibly buying a youngster of his but cant find any info on him.....
Cappucinno Van Berkenbroek changed his name to Capucinno FCS when purchased by the Gillespies and Whitakers whilst trading as First Choice stallions.
He was the champion stallion with the BWP in 2000 covering 80 mares in his first season. He then came to Scotland and was licensed with the Scottish Sports Horse, he was seen out jumping by many and at that time turned heads wherever he went so attracted a good number of mares.
He stood at Balcormo Stud, Leven Fife and used him on our foundation Grade B jumping mare and still have his daughter Chiquita CH dam to last years Lupicor colt.
His first three year old out of Anique Silva Teque an Irish Draft mare was placed fourth at the SSH loose jumping championships in 2005 claiming the homebred prize and his progeny in Belgium have sold well at auction and are now proving very well in competition.
Friends in England have/had a gelding by him out of a Secundus mare and they have been very impressed with his attitude and scope and would like to have another one and believe one sold recently to England from Scotland for 25K.
Cappucinno has himself disapeared, had been told that he was sold to Germany or was it Denmark in 2002, with no winnings currently in circulation or results showing on www.sja.it but the stock that he has left behind are very good.
I have one photo of him if you want it.
Our own mare is sharp infront and opens up over a big fence.
She's a sweet mare but has her moments but kind enough to pull a face and tell you shes not in the mood so beware, LOL a right mare! She does however have a very good work ethic and is intelligent, picking things up very quickly, his colts were gelded promptly! oh and they can have a LOT of white, stockings above knees, belly splashes etc, very strong sabino gene.
