My DS is 10 months old. Up to now we've not had occasion to go out and about with him and the lorry, but hoping this can change soon! However I'm struggling with the car seat. We have an R-reg Iveco 75E15, DS is small so still in his group 0 rear facing seat. It's a maxi-cosi cabriofix. Lorry doesn't have isofix so we put the easyfix base in with the seatbelt; but the whole arrangement is a bit wobbly. The seat won't fit without the base as the seatbelt isn't long enough.

He will soon-ish need to go up a size in the carseat; but I want rear facing as long as possible. Any suggestions for a car seat arrangement that will fit securely? Worst case we could (and probably would) buy a separate one for the lorry; and I guess it could be forward facing if that's all that will fit, bearing in mind I can't block the view of the mirrors!

Hi sorry can't advise on lorry as don't have one but have just upgraded quite large 7 month old to carseat from infant carrier in normal car. I went to halford's and got them to fit various seats in my car as I wanted rear facing still. Ended up with graco milestone (which I bought elsewhere but saw fitted by halfords) without iso fix. I don't have much seatbelt in my car but it fits. I would take the lorry to Halfords (if you have one near to you) and get them to try their display carseats in it so you can actually see which fits best - my local store did it with no obligation to buy. Hope this is of some help.

Why not take the lorry to halfords or a big mothercare type affair and see what fits. If you need to get a second seat, you could always get the next stage up for him and only use it in the lorry til he needs it all the time. Rear facers are harder to fit to non car situations in my experience but you will hopefully get a forward facer more easily.
