First time we have taken cara anywhere - hired out a local arena and jumps

She dosen't trust me much yet (some tosser has beaten the sh*t out of her

), so we were stopping quite a lot, and being quite spooky at the fillers!
Had a break half way through, as I was getting a bit stressed out lol! So hopped on the pony that came with us and jumped that round a few times, then got back on Cara.
She was much much better, although still stopping a bit.
Finished on a very good note though, she jumped a lovely clear round the course

Yes, the jumps are tiny - we know she can jump big fences, so we are starting off small until we are a bit more of a team

A few pics - her techniwue isn't the best of midget jumps! You wouldn;t think she was 9!

Looks great to me- The jumps don't look tiny. Admittedly they aren't huge but they were big enough to make her jump!

Looks good to me. Another of our younger riders with their head screwed on and the patience of a much older person. Get the basics right and you have everything in place to build on. Good for you. Lovely seat, good hands and the right attitude. Lucky mare to have found you

Thanks, that means a lot

I do sometimes have major confidence issues with myself - thats one of the reasons I got off half way through to play on the other pony - I start to get worked up because I don't seem able to get it right, and I didn't want too much of that feeling spreading to the horse.
