Hi,

Am new to caravvaning, because I usually just go to camp at Blenheim and Badminton. But cant get time of school for Blenheim, so going to Burghley and renting a caravan! Just wondered what it was like? Is it fun? What is Burghley like etc? Also there is no electrical hook up, but the caravaan guy says we need electrical hook up does that mean we need a generator?? So clueless! Also is anyone else going?

I've caravanned at Burghley many times, but not in the last three or four years. It was always brilliant! The caravan site is on the golf course so it's really smart and manicured! There was never any electric hook up and our caravan had an extra battery for lighting etc. I think there used to be a catering van (fish & chips?) by the main gate to the caravan site. The showers and loos were quite good by horse trials standards. Burghley was always my favourite and I really miss going there, but can rarely get time off work in September these days.
