Hi I have just bought 50 Bales of card bedding.I normally use shavings but the price of them keep going up so I have bitten the bullet and bought this card. Question is do you love it or hate it?

Tried it for a month as hard to get shaving it is not very absorbant and then flooring begins to smell terrible so have gone back to shavings price difference 25p per bale. £5.75 cardbord £6 shavings

I picked my card up for £3.70 a bale delivered. So worth a try

I'll go with it and let you know how I go on.
Racing yards use it alot don't they?

love it, we use it for our shetland. (we used to have a cob on it too) Its brilliant. non dusty and easy to muck out. I love it!!

we bought it as they were both coughing alot on straw and shavings and got it on a trial and never stopped.

can't recommend it enough!

hate it

I use it and love it. Have used all sorts of bedding before, but this is one of my favourites! is warm, absorbant, and easy to muck out

love it, it's super-clean, no dust or nasties in it, very low/nil spore counts etc (unlike a lot of other bedding types), quick to muck out, mulches down fast. mine is very absorbent (i swear by Ecobed.) i use it over rubber matting and never lift the mats, and it never smells. super stuff.
i can't understand people saying it isn't absorbent. i find it just as absorbent as shavings.

Hate it. Found it filthy dusty stuff. It looks clean on surface but the dust and bits from hay etc fall through it to the bottom. Difficult to skip out and any dropping you dont get again full through to bottom and go to even more dust. If you through it up the wall you will get 2 - 3 shovel fulls of dirt and dust from the floor. Not as absorbant at woodchip.

I persevered with it for 3 months but couldn't stand it any longer and it had to go.

Love it
Think it does vary--mine is shredded corrugated cardboard
The only bed that goes dusty is the one that barely gets added to as one pony rarely pees inside (major flood if he does though!!)
If the stable floor gets smelly invest in dry powder disinfectant and sprinkle a cupful on the floor under the bed
