This is sort of horse related, as I was making an equestrian purchase at the time!

My bank has just alerted me that my card has been cloned and transactions have been attempted on it all this morning. Luckily it has been caught in time and dealt with very efficiently by the bank, so I won't be out of pocket.

However, I haven't used my card for so long I'm surprised my bank didn't presume I was dead! Except for yesterday when I updated my account with a certain quite well known advertising website.

Now I'm not accusing the aforementioned website of anything, just saying the only recent card transaction was with them.... and my computer has super-duper up to date security and anti-spyware.... so go figure...

So be careful out there!

Good for your bank !!
But, I can not fathom out which website you are on about, could you give anymore clues.....perhaps i am being dull. Or PM me. Thanks.

I'd definitely run a full scan on your computer, particularly if you download emails to that computer - lots of odd stuff comes in on emails. It's usually on your computer rather than said well known site.

FWIW I do LOTS of online banking and purchases - but only on this computer, my laptop, where I do not download emails on to the computer - only view as webmail and never open attachemnts or click on anything. I've another desktop where I do download emails.

Sounds more like your wifi was being surfed at the time rather than the website being hacked! Otherwise there would be loads of people complaining as well!

Luckily wifi doesn't work for me (very thick walls) so wires are us! Good old fashioned wires that only surcum to the puppies!

:-)
