Care and Custody Insurance?

Forgive me if I'm going whappy and have already asked this one - can't find it on the search thingy.

A friend is starting a small transport business. Well, she's looking into it and asked me what insurance I thought she'd need as she's getting conflicting advice.

I know she'll need to change her normal lorry insurance but I think she'll also need 'care and custody' (and 'liability'?). Anyone in the know who regarding which one, and who to get it from?

Your friend will need Hire & Reward Insurance on the box and potentially care custody and control depending on the circumstances.

It’s also worth thinking about breakdown insurance just in case.

Depending on what type of vehicle said friend is using can change requirements spectacularly.
Presuming it under 3.5 tonne, hire/ reward insurance. care, custody and control insurance. Public liability insurance and if employing any one to drive employers liabilit.
if over 3.5 tones it’s a whole different can of worms!
